Festively Plump

Hello!

I am back, from TRULY sunny Wales!

I've had the most amazing NY break and I can't wait to tell you all about that, and Xmas, and indeed all of December!

First things first though

Happy New Year!

How is everyone feeling? Did you overindulge or were you a shining example of self-discipline?

I wish I could lay claim to the latter but I'm afraid the former is much more accurate

*hangs head in shame*

Still, I've had a fabulous holiday season and I'm confident that it won't be long before I shift the 6lbs (yes, dreadful eh?!!) I have gained, and then hopefully some more :-)

In a funny way, gaining weight is probably the best thing that could have happened to me as I've been floating around in Plateau Land for the past few months with the scales not shifting either way and it has been frustrating to say the least!

I'll be back with more, going to mosey on over to my December update and try and get that finished before I turn in for the night... which will hopefully result in sleep as my body clock is super screwed at the moment, too much late nights and tequila!!

Catch up with you soon but just wanted to check-in and say hi... oh and that you'll be seeing/hearing a lot more from me in the weeks to come - the New Year update may take some time to sort out though as I took no less than 318 pictures - Wales was breathtakingly beautiful... here's a taster!!

Sunset on a beach in Pembrokeshire ahhhh

Speak soon

  2. I'm not sure about the meltdown! I've only been back a day so haven't been able to read all the literature but it does sound ultra-restrictive and I'm not sure if I'll be able to follow it to the letter - which kind of negates the point of doing it!

will have a look later and see if it actually is feasible... I've already cut out junk and alcohol for the time being but if there's much more that needs to go it's unlikely to be something I'll stick to if you know what I mean?

    How are you getting on?
    xx

  3. Lovely photo; really lovely! Good to hear you enjoyed the break too :o)

I went a teensy bit silly with alcohol, but otherwise not so bad and got to the gym at least 3 times over the 2 weeks of festive routine breakage. Put on a couple of pounds in the end (not including some awful extra bloat which made me actually cry when I saw the scales but that vanished within a couple of days of New Year) but they're starting to shift again so no biggie there.

  4. Lovely pic.

And I think I survived the holidays rather well. I ate a few treats, but managed moderation. Thats a huge victory for me. No weight gain, actually lost a few.

And thanks for the sweet comment on my anniversary post, I appreciate the support.

  5. TOTKat - glad to hear you're back on track and didn't go too mental... I wish I could say the same but then my weight didn't 'magic' itself on in the first place, there's a reason why I was overweight and it's got a lot to do with a lack of self-control and sensible eating habits!

Tricia - no probs! It's blogs like yours that keep me going, it's amazing how far you've come, you should be so proud, you look fantastic! :-)
